The Gardens of Easton Lodge open periodically through the year, and very well worth a visit they are too. Today was their first time opening of this year and they were open specifically for the snowdrops – of which there were many. My picture for today isn’t of the snowdrops
It absolutely chucked it down this afternoon and this was the view out of our bathroom window after the storm had moved past – apparently we have clear skies and a frost tonight… You can see the sunset over Doctors Pond here.
This shot was from last Saturday in Rowney Woods. Snow was still deep through the open rides of the wood and it was clear that not that many people had been through the woods in the last few days…no doubt, because of the snow.
We’ve not had any pylons for a while – so here are some from earlier today on the edge of Rowney Woods 😉
We went for a walk today in our favourite woods. Rowney Woods are about 8 miles from where we live in Great Dunmow and we had them to ourselves today. We regularly see deer here – today we only saw their tracks in and out of the woods.
This is the view we have out of our landing window across North Street in Great Dunmow. It’s a view we don’t see often because we live on a main road so we have net curtains up. You’ll gather it snowed again last night. I had to spend ages removing
As it has started snowing again this evening I thought I’d publish another of my photos from last Sunday. This is of the River Chelmer which flows through Great Dunmow on its way, unsurprisingly, to Chelmsford and then on East.
The first snow of winter in Great Dunmow and I was out early doors to catch it before all the sledging began. This is a secondary pond behind the larger (and more famous) Doctors Pond.
This one was taken 3 weeks ago over in Berners Roding. It’s one of the few non-HDR’s I took that day.
Taken a couple of weeks ago at the same time as this Dunmow sunrise shot this one shows Dunmow as it would probably appear on fire!
