It was great to get out and about somewhere other than Great Dunmow this evening. We had one of our Bishop’s Stortford Camera Club outings and tonight we took a stroll around Bishop’s Stortford town centre and down along the River Stort where I saw this. If you are wondering
The poppies on the roadside along my morning walk are still going strong – you can earlier shots of them here and here. Bearing in mind when I’ve seen Poppyfields in the past they haven’t lasted that long, I’ve been pretty impressed with the longevity of these.
I’ve been a bit obsessed by the echinacea in the garden. The whole flower doesn’t interest me much (although it does smell nice), but it’s various growing stages (see this earlier shot and this later super macro shot) up close are quite fascinating…and kind of spooky/evil 😉
We spent some of the afternoon photographing some of Debbie’s new products – you can see them in her Etsy store here – after we had finished she repurposed the flowers into a ceramic pot…and that is today’s picture. with a few textures added to liven it up a bit.

Yes, it’s that tree again, but I haven’t shared a picture of it for nearly 3 months, becasue it doesn’t look very good with leaves on it! The beauty of this tree are all the capillary like branches it has reaching to the sky – the leaves hide that too
