Just a crisp brown leaf I found under the beach hedge this afternoon but looks, with a bit of added lighting, like a chrysalis…at least I think so!

Short of subjects today so I popped out to the back garden and caught this Siskin in the tree. There were various other birds around including a Great Tit who was keen to pose for the camera.

We had a couple of Boeing Chinooks fly past this afternoon. They were flying very low along the valley across the road from us past our next door neighbours house. It’s weird that we have had 2 separate military aircraft fly past us in the last week or so…or perhaps

Another shot from the bunch of tulips we bought from the local supermarket last week – they’ve held up remarkably well!

I definitely prefer the hyacynths when they have gone over like this one. They have a far more interesting look to them with the fading colour than they have when in full bloom. I photographed a few flowers round the garden and Jess had a good time exploring the burn

One of my late father’s favourite sayings about his baldness was “Grass doesn’t grow on a busy street!” I take after him in many respects and going bald is certainly one of them. This was for the theme “Levitation” for the 52Frames weekly challenge and some of the masking out

I was quite pleased with this shot of small part of a very nice bunch of tulips Debbie got from Sainsbury’s taken in our dining room against a plain white wall.

We have had some lovely weather this last week and we’ve been hard at work in the garden. Unusually I got a morning off from the dog walk this morning and took the evening walk with Jess instead. Coming back down from the tops you could see in the distance

I see a small group of people (one with their head in their hands) berating a dog! What do you see? This is a new shot from the slime mold (Metatrichia floriformis) I found a couple of weeks ago. I’m quite surprised it’s still going – I had understood that

This caught my eye – it’s the silhouette of some items on the window sill along with the branches on a tree outside the window being cast on a wall in the house. Definitely abstract!
