On my way back from Leeds at the weekend I stopped off at Leeds University to photograph one of the brutalist buildings there. These pictures will appear, shortly, on The Brutalist site. This is a shot of the new Car Park at the university – very Close Encounters style!

The poppies on the roadside along my morning walk are still going strong – you can earlier shots of them here and here. Bearing in mind when I’ve seen Poppyfields in the past they haven’t lasted that long, I’ve been pretty impressed with the longevity of these.
I’ve been a bit obsessed by the echinacea in the garden. The whole flower doesn’t interest me much (although it does smell nice), but it’s various growing stages (see this earlier shot and this later super macro shot) up close are quite fascinating…and kind of spooky/evil 😉
We spent some of the afternoon photographing some of Debbie’s new products – you can see them in her Etsy store here – after we had finished she repurposed the flowers into a ceramic pot…and that is today’s picture. with a few textures added to liven it up a bit.
I definitely attracted some attention from the local sheep as I passed by them on my morning walk today. It was nice of them to pose for their photographs though.
