If you’ve followed this blog for any length of time you’ll know that we do enjoy Rowney Woods up in Wimbish. Today was our first visit for a few weeks, mainly due to the dreadful weather, but one thing has certianly come out of all the rain we have had

The weather slightly improved today – at least it was dry – and we took a walk around Rowney Woods. One thing all the rain we have been having has done is encourage a huge burst of growth in all the plant life. It was only a few weeks ago

…sadly, the weather’s still rubbish, but we have a long weekend ahead of us so things could be worse. This is a shot of one of our cats giving me the plaintive “let me back into the house, it’s cold and wet out here” look.

This is a shot from a group of photos I took for my 365 project. I really like the rain drops caught in these dandelion seeds and the black and white conversion just works 😉

It’s nice when a photo comes out just how you envisioned it. I saw this dandelion head last night – it was perfect, but I’ve shot those before so I ignored it. When I went out into the garden this evening I was not surprised to see it had been
I liked what the sunset did to the clouds here, despite the fact that the sunset was happening behind me.

I popped out into the garden just before the heaven’s opened for today’s deluge and caught this tiny forget-me-not that had recently bloomed. I like the painted effect that the very limited depth of field created.

Camera Club (official) finished last week so the Bishop’s Stortford Camera Club (Summer Programme) commenced tonight. Despite the earlier appalling weather (I sailed back from work rather than drove) we gathered on a bridge over the M11 in Essex to shoot some light trails. It was great fun with loads
