119-354v4 From Bean to Cup

When I did my original half a cup of coffee I didn’t have any coffee beans so couldn’t do this shot. I think the earlier photograph stands on its own though, this one is different enough to be considered properly separate.

The cutting out in photoshop was a bit more complex in this shot as I didn’t want to just slice through the beans with a straight cut so instead I traced round the edges of the beans to get a smoother effect. This worked well, but now I wonder if it looks like I simply poured coffee into a cup full of beans…perhaps that would have been the easier way to go!
