We had a day out to the coast at Aldeburgh yesterday and visited Lackford Lakes on the way back.
The day’s featured image is a triptych of some of the birds that kept a close eye on us as we ate our fish and chips on the (rather coll and blustery) front at Aldeburgh.
Once finished at Aldeburgh we headed across country towards Lackford Lakes at Bury St Edmonds. Unfortunately about three quarters of the way there 2 deer tried to commit hare-kari by running straight into the side of the car on the A140, they managed to heavily dent all the panels down the passenger side and the passenger door no longer opened more than a couple of inches. We couldn’t tell how badly injured they were as they ran back into the wooded area from whence they came.
We finally arrived at Lackford Lakes and had a rather desultory walk around, cheered up to some degree by the birds that came and visited the log area many of whom are included in the images below.
