046-365v5 – Waiting for the Farmer

This morning was cold and murky and as Jess and I were heading up to the Forestry track for our morning walk I saw this scene of the neighbouring farms sheep awaiting their breakfast. We, and the sheep, could hear the tractor that would be bringing their morning breakfast but it was obviously dealing with another area of the farm and didn’t appear while we were there.

I was glad to get this shot for the 365 as I thought I may struggle to get the Flickr 21st challenge image today. The subject was “Planet” and I had the idea that I would do a mini planet from the top of the walk Jess and I were on. The trouble was, with such murky weather I knew we would struggle and I might have to fall back on one of my previous mini planets.

When i got home I loaded the images into photoshop and worked through them. I was right, they really didn’t look great with the grey skies. It occurred to me to swap the flat grey sky with one of my skies I have saved for this very issue and, thank you very much, a reasonable outcome was obtained. It won’t win any prizes, but it was nice to post an issue created on the day, rather than falling back on an old shot.

Here’s the shot:
