108-365v4 A Foggy Start on Doctors Pond

We had a good thick fog in Great Dunmow this morning, it was pretty chilly as well, but the grey heron was on Doctors Pond and the fog hid a lot of the parked cars to the rear of the pond, as did the panorama crop I gave the image.

I shot this on my Sony A6000 with its 55-210mm f4.5-6.3 lens, by far the “worst” lens I own. This lens is not at all sharp and give poor resolution on the camera…and yet it was the perfect lens for a foggy morning, which I will remember for the future. It gave some of the images (this one included) a real painterly look which I have enhanced using the watercolour filter in photoshop. I really like this shot.

Same lens, but less fog and a different location gave me a rather pleasant shot through the small copse located towards the Tesco roundabout at the Little Easton end.
