There are often a few tell-tale signs that I’ve struggled to get a picture – you get an orb or a twirl or…one of my cameras!
Now, I do feel justified in showing off this one as my daily photograph because I only got it today and (I think) it was a real bargain! I’ve admired the Sony RX100 range since they were launched/released back in 2012 and they cost around £550. You can still get them new for £299. Since this original version there have been (so far) another 6 verdions released with the latest model (the VII) costing £729 new (down from its original sale price of £1200).
So it has always been an expensive piece of kit, way more expensive than I was prepared to pay for a camera that will live in my pocket…so I’m comfortable with paying £70 for a second hand version and having briefly used it today I’m really happy with it. It will be perfect for when we are allowed back out for concerts and the like.
