A couple of days ago I published an image of a light bulb with a red background. It was pretty boring, so, with a bit more time available to me today I sat down and re-photographed it.

First things first, let’s get rid of that red background…what was I thinking? Next, we don’t actually have to photograph the whole bulb, Finally, lets give a jaunty angle, which gives a sense of action to the image, important when you are looking at something relatively mundane and static.

Doing these 3 things feels, to me at least, to have produced a much more interesting image.

Unfortunatel, I created 3 different versions of the image amd now I can’t decide which I like best. I’ve plumped for the “blue” version to lead the way, but I’m not completely convinced. Below are 3 other versions – what do you think…or do you still prefer the red version?

Let me know in the comments below.
