RSPB Fowlmere

Another catch up post from April 2019. This one was from my first visit to the RSPB reserve at Fowlmere in Cambridgeshire. A lovely place to spend a few hours with some decent hides and lovely chalk streams with the clearest water.

As I recall, it was absolutely perishing, despite it being April, but there was still plenty of wildlife to be seen including a water vole (fleeting glimpse), barn owl, blue tits, mallard ducks, a marsh harrier (miles away in the distance, but the camera did OK in getting a reasonable shot of it), greylag geese and chiff chaff.
