As I drove back from work the rain started…fairly typical for the start of a bank holiday weekend. The rain stopped around sunset and I popped out into the garden to shoot these foxgloves that have recently started to bloom.

Out in the garden again this evening and today we have the flower of a wild chive. We have loads of these all bursting out at the moment – very colourful.
Been taken out for a slap up dinner by work this evening, so back late and in need of a quick shot before bed. In recognition of all the light painting and similar I’ve been doing recently this is a macro shot of my mini-maglite torch that I use.

These look so unappetising before cleaning and cooking and yet taste so nice when cooked. Yum!

Short of something to shoot tonight I spied my morning cereal and thought it would make a decent macro subject. The “sky” was created by my PC monitor.

I thought this would be more interesting than it turned out. The knife is still apparently really sharp, but in this macro shot you can see the two edges that make up the sharp blade are actually splitting apart.
