Back to the spot I was at last Friday, this time looking in the opposite direction at the bridge.

A small group of hardy Bishop Stortford Camera Club members braved the inclement weather and visited Hatfield Forest for the last of the summer programme get togethers. It was cool and pretty blowy…but the clouds did eventually start to break up for the first time of the day.

Another shot grabbed from a quick run out at lunchtime – I managed to dodge the showers…just about, to grab this view from the top of the hill at Flatford…I’m looking forward to seeing this again in better weather.

This was originally called The Harvest, then my wife pointed out that actually, this was what was left after the harvest has taken place… I’ve been driving past this field looking at these straw bales for a couple of weeks now. Today I was early enough to jump out of

I took a walk down to the River Stour this lunchtime as I could see the tide was in – this area is much more attractive when the tide is in 😉 This is the coastal path (that the farmer has very kindly cut back) towards Manningtree. It was a

I started my new job today, which was a bit of a shock to the system after 3 months of “holiday”. I’ve parked in a lot of company car parks over the years, but I think this one takes the prize for “Best View” so far. Taken on arrival this

A second job interview found me mooching around the Suffolk coast again this afternoon. This is a shot taken on the edge of the River Stour in an area called Holbrook Bay. I was hoping to get some long exposure shots…but those clouds weren’t moving…at all!
