068-365v5 – More Waterfall Action

I continued my walk up our Burn (Harden Burn) that runs through our garden and carried on up past the waterfalls I photographed a few weeks ago. I was initially looking for a couple of ponds that I’d seen mentioned on a couple of maps (although not the Ordanance Survey (OS) map). I’s seen that frogs were active nearby and I wondered if there might be some that I could see here. I did find the “ponds” which were little more small waterlogged areas and definitely didn’t have any frogs in them. On my walk up the burn I had seen a number of small waterfalls that I hadn’t seen before so headed back to those to get a photograph.

There were two larger waterfalls that I would have liked to photograph. One, however was completely shielded by 3 fallen trees and the other was in a very steep sided part of the burn with a very deep waterlevel and I didn’t fancy getting soaked. This short series of 3 smaller waterfalls looked nice from a composition point of view so that’s what we have here.

I’ve also included a shot below of the larger waterfall from the main image (the first one waterfall).
