Well, it was -3c last night so I thought it was about time to revisit last summer and warm ourselves up again. So here’s how the windmill at Aythorpe Roding looked on a hot August afternoon.

It was something of a surprise to find a broken egg shell on our walk today. I think the picture came out better than I expected – I hadn’t noticed the small red berry – and says so much about life and nature at the end of autumn.
This jolly family of fungus was photographed in Rowney Woods (where else) back in September. I’ve included a picture of the full family tree along with a picture of one of the single families 😉
