This windmill was built in 1877, replacing a previous post mill that had stood here since 1609.
Popped out at lunchtime and got caught in an almighty downpour – soaking!
Back to Leaden Roding and this tree lined path caught my eye. It was pretty dark by the time I’d taken this 😉

Whilst not the greatest light here, this looks, to me at least, like the trees are closing in on me in a quite sinister manner…
This was taken earlier today on a walk through a very pretty hamlet in Essex called Ugley…Yes…Ugley. By the way, I’m proud to be taking part in Photography auction Fundraiser where you can bid for one of mine (and many other photographers) photographs all for a very good cause –
As soon as my wife saw this picture she said “It’s Klimt”. I had to sneak a quick look on Google to confirm that, indeed, he did paint trees in this style 😉
I have driven past this large area of Daffodils loads of times over the last few weeks and finally took the time to park up and photograph them this evening. There is a very large number of daffodils that are tightly bounded by a small copse of trees.
