Stepping back to April 2019 we visited Lackford Lakes in Suffolk (not far from Bury St Edmonds). Run by the Suffolk Wildlife Trust they have a number of bird hides with one particularly good for sightings of Kingfishers…because of this you can never get in 😉 Who needs Kingfishers anyway,
We had our weekend walk around Rowney Woods near Saffrom Walden and saw a couple of Buzzrads flying in the distance. Unusually, 1 of them left his usual area and gave us a fly past as he headed off to pastures new.
These seals at Horsey Gap are really very lazy…sleep, sleep, sleep is all they seem to do…or is it?
I visited Horsey Gap in Norfolk on Saturday where there are over 1400 grey seal pubs…and their parents, gathered along the shore. It’s quite a sight. So here’s a super cute shot of just one of them who had clearly had a busy day.
This female Sparrowhawk caught her dinner in our back garden – I noticed the fact when I walked into the kitchen to make a cup of tea…you couldn’t miss all those feathers. I was able to pop my lens through the cat flap to get to the birds eye-level and
We visited the deer park at Knole while we had a week’s holiday and saw plenty of the deer around – this is a Sika Deer who wasn’t too bothered about me photographing him.
We visited Warley Place at the weekend and saw various birds, but the best shot (in pretty dark conditions) was this Nuthatch.
