I was surprised to see this Scarecrow guarding the field this morning by the gate. He’s usually stationed in the field, as you’d probably expect!

We have a lot of lavender in the back garden and the bees love it.

I’ve been dabbling in music making using Ableton DAW and this little midi keyboard. I was quite please with a version of Kraftwerk’s “The Model” I didn’t think it came out too bad bearing in mind I can’t play the keyboard. You can hear it on Soundcloud here.

Hoverfly coming in to taste the nectar on this pretty plant.

A lovely example of this pretty woodland butterfly found in Rowney Woods.

On the River Chelmer in Ulting is this lovely and, possibly somewhat cliched, church. Idyllic England indeed.

My favourite tree on Water Lane in Great Dunmow taken with my infrared camera turning the green foliage white and the blue sky (where there is any), black.

I regularly get called upon to photograph Debbie’s latest goodies she has made and today was no exception. If you like the look of these you can see much more in her Folksy shop here
