Out in the garden today with my macro lens and I caught this spider shinning down his web at a fair rate of knots:

It was a lovely sunny evening today so I popped out into the back garden with my macro lens to see what I could find. This fella was definitely on the look out, for what, I don’t know, beut he was very alert…excepting, of course, he didn’t seem to notice

We visited a new part of Essex today and headed north of Saffron Walden to Little Waldon. The further north you get in Essex, the better defined the countryside is and you get some nice rolling hills to look at. The weather played fair today as well with some lovely
I was out shooting the sunset over Thaxted last week and the aircraft trails, along with the wispy clouds caught my eye.

We never planted Lavender in our garden, one year it just appeared and we’ve been enjoying it every year since.
You do find nature reserves squeezed into some interesting spots. Rye Meads Nature Reserve is near Hoddesdon on the Essex/Hertfordshire border squeezed between two large towns – Hoddesdon and Harlow. Power lines march relentlessly across the vista across to the large chimneys in the distance.
