Another evening spent playing with wire wool and sparks with the Bishops Stortford Camera Club. It causes great consternation to the local dog walkers and horse riders who come across a large group of people with cameras on tripods apparently trying to set fire to a bridge 😉
We took a quick stroll around Rowney Woods this afternoon. The bracken is sprouting up very nicely and the sunshine really lit it up.

I was quite surprised when I counted up the number of ducklings this female Mallard had in tow – eleven…and not a male in sight 😉 There was clearly plenty of tasty morsels to go at on the side of Doctors Pond as all the ducklings were busy pecking away
A day of two halves today. We started at Butterfly World in St Albans – totally NOT recommended – should be called Butterfly Greenhouse (small). Having blown £15 quid there we moved on to Hatfield House where for £35 for the two of us we spent a very pleasant afternoon
