007-365v4 The Much Maligned Flying Rat

We have a lot of birds visit our garden these days and I periodically photograph them, but very rarely do I photograph the pigeons that come along, so I did that today.

The Gas man came round to fix the boiler and was very dismissive of the “Flying Rats” as he referred to them. He had to go outside and was most put out when I warned him to look out for our local (real) rat who visits from time to time…indeed he was genuinely scared of them and jumped back into the house as quick as he could.

I wonder if he got his own back when he quoted me over £3k for a new boiler 😉 Interest free for 2 months mind…bargain!

This is a common wood pigeon (Columba palumbus) don’t ya know.
