Every year I take part in the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk – groups of photographers meet up in towns and cities around the word and go out and take pictures – proceeds go to charity. So far I have photographed Bishop’s Stortford, Ozford, Much Hadham and this year Hertford.
I drive through Hertford three times a week but I’ve never visited – the most I have seen is the daily traffic jam on Gascoigne Way. So it was nice to have a look around the town – a town, as it turns out, that is steeped in history. Because of that history it felt right to give this picture a strong vintage feel.
