I had a day trip with a couple of photography friends to the Seahouses in Northumberland and took a boat trip across to Inner Farne of the Farne Isalnds to see the Birds and Seals that live and breed there. It was an excellent day out and we were able to fit in a visit to Spittal Beach up at Berwick-Upon-Tweed on the way home.

From over 1,350 shots I worked through and got the number of decent shots down to 99, of which there is a selection below, starting with a shot of Bamburgh Castle from the boat as we sailed out towards the Farne Islands:

Then there was the wildlife…lots of wildlife. Here we have Puffins, Guillemots, Razorbills, Kittiwakes, Cormorants, Arctic Terns, Eider Ducks and Grey Seals

Here’s a shot of The Serenity waiting to pick us up again for the return journey to shore. They looked after us very well. (You can find details of their sailings here).

On the way home we stopped off at Spittal Beach to have a look at the rock formations there.
