004-365v5 – The Morning Walk…Pre-Snow?

This morning’s dog walk took us up the forestry track at Florida, half a mile up the road towards Newcastleton from our home. Jess and I do this walk most morning’s. Jess loves it because she can periodically find and chase the local wildlife. She is very much discouraged from doing this, she can disappear for quite sometime which causes me excessive worry. We have a Tractive tracker, unfortunately it doesn’t work in this area because it can’t get a signal – only EE phones work up here. I believe Tractive operate on Vodaphone. Anyhow, todays wildlife was a rather lovely (and quite large) Fox who eyed us suspiciously and then legged it. Jess was straight on his trail but fortunately today was one of her obedient days and she returned to me promptly on request.

Anyhow, it was a little chilly this morning and the neighbouring “mountain” (yes, it’s just a hill, humour us!) was looking quite nice in the distance so I took this shot on my mobile (a Galaxy S24…but not the Ultra). It’s always worth having a banker in early doors when doing these 365 projects…I’m still not convinced I’m doing this, but we continue for the time being!

We are promised snow overnight and the surroundings all look even prettier with a covering of snow so fingers crossed for tomorrow morning.
