062-365v4 A Bumper Day of Photographs!

After struggling for an image yesterday, I’ve got them coming out of my ears today…this is what often happens when doing a 365 project.

The featured image today is one of our regular squirrel’s who visits daily. This is the bigger of the two and he has discovered that if the squirrel feeder has run out of his favourite nuts then there is plenty of food on the bird table. The easiest way to that table is by jumping…and it’s a reasonable distance, but not for squirrely!

Today was the first time I had the camera to hand when he was on the table and it took a little waiting for him to decide to leave – you only get a split second to react so I was quite pleased with the image.

We are on holiday this week (we’ve been lucky enough to work throughout both the lockdowns) so went out for a walk this morning. It was pretty misty, but I got some shots, including some of my usual trees, but also a carelessly disgarded face mask, a careless ex road user and we were finally given the finger!

Back in the battle of the garden the rats have managed to give us the finger and avoid the trap for over a week now…but they are interested in the treats. Unfortunately, so was the robin who visits, he had to be released from the trap when he went for the rats treats. So that’s a squirrel and a robin that have been accidentally caught in the trap so far – nearly as many as the rats we’ve caught. Current score – Rat’s 4 v Seton’s 3 v Random Wildlife 2!

Finally a Dunnock visited the twisted hazel for a few pictures.
