Canvey Island

About 4 years ago I visited Canvey Island for the first time and really enjoyed walking around its town and its Industrial area.

I had to deliver some equipment to Southend just before Christmas and, because the weather wasn’t great, I dodged the beach at Westcliff on Sea (well, the tide was in) and the country park at Leigh On Sea and headed back to Canvey Island parking at the far end of the Industrial area at the Lobster Smack and took a stroll both ways along the coastal path.

Here’s a gallery of some of the images I got on that walk. I popped into the town centre for some chips and grabbed a few shots there as well which you’ll see at the end of the gallery.

You can see images from my first visit to Canvey Island (when there was a really nices sunset) by clicking here.

  1. I enjoyed reading this. Its not the sort of place I’d have thought of visiting but it’s got some unusual photo opportunities. Thanks for sharing
