Spotted this rather colourful caterpillar on a walk around Roxwell, it’s a Mullein Moth Caterpillar

Is it a hoverfly, is it a sawfly, is it something else? I don’t know, but the flower is definitely a yellow iris. Seen in Widdington today

A nice abstract from oil and water…when I next do this I will ensure I get the lens square to the surface of the water which will keep the oil drops in better focus. More images after the break:

We always get these pretty little flowers at the bottom of our garden. I’ve never noticed the pollen/stamen before.

This is the headstock of my very old, but trusty Fender Stratocaster that I used to “…make them cry or sing” when I played Dire Straits “Sultans of Swing” live in a pub in Leeds (when I say Leeds I mean out in the sticks in the back of beyond!).

We had cabbage with our tea tonight (Shepherd’s Pie if you’re interested). The left over leaves immediately caught my eye for a quick macro black and white abstract sort of shot..nand I made 3 of the shots into a triptych…

It’s amazing what you can do with a couple of small torches and some silver foil. For those of you who don’t know, bokeh is a Japanese word that describes the blobs of out of focus light in the background.
