Wow – what a day – very nearly missed posting today, what with getting home from work to find one of our cats was very poorly and having to take him first to our local vets in Dunmow and then to the emergency vet in Saffron Walden…then rushing back to

Caught just before sunrise this was the moon on Saturday 15th January 2012 at 07.24am taken from Great Dunmow’s Doctors Pond.

The Starr Restaurant (where Jamie Oliver apparently once worked) in Great Dunmow always has a fine Christmas Tree outside and this year was no exception. Hope you all have a great Christmas.

Walking back from the car just 10 minutes ago (it’s 00.05 on the 9/12/11) I looked up at the moon and noticed a very visible and clear circle around the moon. I popped inside and got my camera. Now, the technical qualities of the photograph aren’t necessarily great, but hand-held

The A120 connects Great Dunmow with Bishop’s Stortford and the M11 (and thus London) in one direction and Braintree and Colchester in the other. You choose 😉 I’m really quite undecided. I found these roses at the Foakes Hall in Great Dunmow this afternoon. I love the black and white conversion, but the orange is so vivid (at least I hope it’s orange – colour blind and all that)…

Keeping the slightly industrial / metal feel going, today’s photograph is of some palasades in Dunmow. The fact that they were photographed in Dunmow is neither here nor there, a palisade is, after all, a palisade. As if to confirm this, Google could not locate a palisade appreciation site 😉
