It’s only a couple of days since I posted my last picture of a (2) hoverfly. I think this is a shot that is different enough to be worth inclusion. I didn’t have to travel far for this specimen, just the back garden where it was sunning itself on a leaf. It was kind enough to sit still for a minute or two before leaving to investigate the flowers nearby.
