Quite often, I’m finding, the more spur of the moment an idea for a photograph is the more enjoyable it is.

I really didn’t want to be bothered today, I really didn’t. I couldn’t think of anything to photograph and couldn’t be bothered even to open my emergency list of ideas for such moments. I saw these old batteries languishing in the back of my desk draw and thought – “That’ll do”. Took the picture…Then messed with the yellow in Lightroom to make it really stand out…….then into Photoshop and make everything black and white except the yellow – and I’m all enthused again 😉

I’m well aware that this technique is clichéd now…but do you know what? I don’t care – the whole process made me far happier than it had any right to do and for that, I’m glad!
