031-365v5 – The Sheep Field

To the side of our house is this sheep field which is currently unoccupied. This is a good thing as when it is occupied the escape squad unit of the sheep prison detail are exceptionally good at escaping from the field and visiting our garden. In some ways this is great because they do give the grass a good trim. However, they do leave a lot of small packages that we have to guard against Jess either

  1. Eating them
  2. Rolling in them

They also have a tendency of wandering out of our garden gate and wandering on to the road. The road isn’t busy, but does have the large logging trucks running up and down to and from Kielder Forest which is just up the road. They definitely come out second best when they take those on!

You may or may not be able to see the wire fence that runs from the wooden gate – it isn’t just completely open there!
