I’m no expert, but I always thought the poppy season was quite short, however we are still getting new growth on the roadside on Bigods Lane in Great Dunmow.
I wanted to show these poppies in context with their surroundings, a full colour version of the image meant the poppies simply didn’t stand out so I desaturated the rest of the image to help the poppies “pop” 😉
