115/366 Bluebells at Castle Hedingham

The rain abated for long enough today for us to pop out to Castle Hedingham – a Norman castle over near Braintree and Halstead. Built around 1140 you certainly get a feeling of history walking around it.  One advantage of the terrible weather is that we pretty much had the Castle to ourselves.

The castle is in some quite beautiful grounds including a very nice wood with plenty of bluebells.
