Sometimes the simplest treatment is the best way to go.

I initially went to do a focus stack on this red rose but wasn’t happy with the results. I then tried HDR, and that really didn’t cut it, so here’s a straight forward shot of the rose with a little bit of gentle nursing through lightroom.

Oh, and by the way, I thought the rose was pretty much perfect until I saw these macro shots, it’s amazing what a macro shot reveals – good and bad!
