Deer, Deer, Dear

Back to Rowney Woods this morning where we saw a whole mass of fallow deer. we started by seeing a loan stag patroling the edge of the woods on his own, he looked quite young.

Of course, we are heading into autumn proper now and the mating season. The stags antlers are getting larger all the time ready for the rut.

About 10 minutes after seeing the above loaner we came across this group with their stag, a second group with their stag followed a couple of minutes later. We saw around 25 fallow deer within 20 minutes and saw a few more inside Rowney woods as well. A good day for deer spotting certainly (again click on the image for a better view)!
