Having spent the day in Rye on the East Sussex coast, I have a huge mountain of photographs to process, but Tuesday’s are camera club day and so it was we found ourselves at the lake in the middle of Hatfield Forest with this sunset.
So, half of Britain is flooding at the moment as we go through the wettest Summer for a long time. As I drove back from work we had the most torrential downpour that quickly caused flash floods on the road…but as soon as we were getting drenched, we were out
I was out shooting the sunset over Thaxted last week and the aircraft trails, along with the wispy clouds caught my eye.
Dashed out after dinner this evening to catch the sunset. It’s nearly the longest day so, even I , didn’t manage to miss it today. This is a shot from the top of a hill on the edge of Thaxted with the windmill and church easily visible.
After a large downpour this evening we were treated to a very pleasant sunset including great dollops of mist rolling down the surrounding hills.
We had the promised downpours early evening today. By 8.30 I was just finishing my dinner and thought I’d pop out and see what sort of sunset we’d get. It was a cracker…if only I’d been out 15 minutes earlier! Never mind, the heavy rain that had fallen was quickly

It’s been another filthy day today. There was a great hail storm followed by a torrential downpour that flooded all the roads on my way home. By the time I got home though the clouds were just breaking open and we got this sunset over Doctors Pond.
