We took a stroll around Matching at the weekend, a really nice part of Essex close to Harlow. I’m getting more and more interested inblack and white photography, quite the opposite to the HDR (high dynamic range) photography I have concentrated on for the last 6 months or so.
Out and about yesterday the photograph taking was somewhat curtailed by breaking down and having to get the RAC out to get me going again, which they did promptly and successfully. Whilst waiting for the RAC to arrive the heavens opened and it poured down – which made me feel
And now for something completely different… Debbie does lots of knitting, she makes large quantities of jumpers, scarves, hats, baby clothes…it’s a real production line. For something a little different she made this recently.
The occupiers of the barge did seem to be having a great time on the Canal as they rather zig zagged down Regents Canal in London.
Along with the Geese at Doctors Pond in Great Dunmow, you also have the ducks…introducing Mr Mallard and Mrs Mallard…
You may recall our last post about the Canada Geese that frequent the Doctors Pond here in Dunmow, and I mentioned they liked to have a good go at each other. Well, here’s a good example taken earlier this year.
A second black & white photograph for you today, taken a couple of days ago in Fyfield. This seagull decided it was time to fly home, even if that meant heading straight into a storm.
I think the title says it all! This female blackbird was photographed next to Doctors Pond in Great Dunmow earlier this year.
I don’t know, perhaps there’s a perfectly good reason, but why would there be just one brick out of place in a 20 foot wall? I don’t suppose anyone will have noticed the lyric this time 😉
We visited Chalkney Woods last weekend in the Colne Valley. I took the following picture without looking at the settings on my camera at all, it was in aperture priority mode so the picture was always going to be, at least viewable, but the shutter speed calculated was 3 seconds.
