The sun was just breaking through as we approached Rowney Woods giving us those great sun beams…big sky as well!

Spring finally arrived yesterday and we took a walk around Rowney Woods. Amazingly we saw 3 different types of butterfly – they will have been struggling to find any flowers, with the exception of a few straggly primroses there really wasn’t much for them to go at. I forced myself

We had a day off from the rain so visited Rowney Woods for a stroll. I thought I’d try something different today. Normally when I look at the back of the camera and see a picture I like Iget it home and it’s rubbish. Today I looked at this shot

We haven’t been out to Rowney Woods for ages so nipped out this afternoon before the rain returns again tomorrow. The woods were very wet and very grey so a black and white photograph was always going to be the order of the day, and so adding a reflection in

Walking through Rowney Woods today we were passed by these two gentlemen on their tandem bike. They got a fair old shift on as they completed the circuit around Rowney Woods very quickly.

Spotted this fella in Rowney Woods – dragonflies may be bigger than damselflies, and you would have thought they would be easier to photograph – you have to be lucky to get one resting like this – normally they are permanently in motion patrolling their area, damselflies must get tired
