You know it’s the Zenit Helios lens because of that magenta colour cast on the image. Interesting depth of field on this shot as well (shot at f2)

Looking into our Christmas Tree with the Zenit Helios lens

The Causeway in Great Dunmow. The main road out to Saffron Walden.

No idea what sort of flower this is, but it’s pretty – let me know in the comments below what it is if you know.

I cross this road on my morning walk, it looks better with a bit of fog, but you can’t have everything.

This is our Christmas box starting to bloom in the garden. It creates a lovely scent over the Christmas period.

I have an old Zenit Helios 44m-4 f2 58mm lens which I adapt to use on my Sony E mount. It’s an interesting lens which gives some interesting bokeh (the out of focus balls of light you sometimes see) and a strange magenta colour cast as demonstrated in this picture.

Debbie made me this little felt photographer bear so I lined him up for a shoot with his favourite film camera – the Holga!
