We visited Warley Place at the weekend and saw various birds, but the best shot (in pretty dark conditions) was this Nuthatch.
This fledgling Blue Tit looked like it was taking a rest from its early flappings before it made another attempt to join his mates in the sky.

The Moorhens around Doctors Pond have been doing very well this year…lots of Chicks. We didn’t have any Moorhens here until 4 or 5 years ago, we now have at least 2 well established families.
I’ve been wondering whether we would get any goslings on Doctors Pond this year, the ducks have produced, the moorhens have produced…and finally we have goslings!
