Today (and indeed yesterday) we have spent sorting the garden out, which included a visit to the local garden centre. The garden is now much improved.
In amongst the rubbish and weeds we came across some wild strawberries which have just burst into flower and an old rusting two wheeled steel/metal trolly my brother got me for when we sold records and CDs at various music festivals and concerts around the country – it’s amazing how heavy thousands of those things weigh!
Anyway, back to the photography. You may recall Saturday’s photograph (pre-gardening effort) where I took 5 exposures of various things all blended together to make 1 image. It was OK.
Today I wasn’t thinking about multiple exposures. I simply took some macro / close up shots of the rusted trolly and some shots of the wild strawberry. When I sat down at the computer I cursed myself for not having down the multiple exposure shot of the two things together. Fortunately, with photoshop that is not a problem. I took the 2 images and blended them in photoshop to create this final image which, I hope you agree, is rather splendid.
If you are interested, I have included below the 2 single images that the final image came from (it’s probably the best texture shot I’ve taken as well) along with 2 slightly different versions of the composited multiple exposure.
