074-365v5 – Chained

Down at the Harden Burn this afternoon in the garden and I was having a look at this chain which is strung from a wire across the stream just before you reach a tunnel that goes under the road next to our house. There is a matching set up on the other side of the tunnel. I don’t know why it is there – it doesn’t really stop anyone or anything from going through and under the road. As I only had my macro lens with me I wasn’t able to photograph the whole thing, you can, however see from what the chain hung from below. If I had stepped back further I’d have been, literally in deep water and certainly would have overtopped my wellingtons…so I didn’t fancy that. I’ll revisit this on another day.

Jess also tried to lose her ball in the burn – here she is pondering whether she cared enough to get her paws wet and retrieve it. She didn’t, I had to retrieve it and that water is very cold!
