I really do feel incredibly lucky that this is on my doorstep.

You might think that a move from a (very lovely) small town where we lived on a main road just off the High Street in Great Dunmow would be quite a radical change to a country house 3.5miles away from the nearest village. We’ve loved it. We do have the advantage of a decent road running past the house meaning we are never really isolated, but it is lovely to live somewhere so peaceful and we have adapted very quickly.

Whilst I could never have afforded the move until recently I do wish we had done it earlier.
