This morning was the first morning this year that has felt like we are moving into autumn. It was quite cool, noticeably so and it was commented on by a couple of my fellow walkers and runners as I made my way round my walk…I was 1 of only a few who was still in a T-Shirt and shorts (and the others were runners).

Anyway, this is a favourite view at the top of Beaumonts Hill in Great Dunmow and is always better for a bit of mist. Today’s photograph is almost monochrome so strong was the golden light of the early morning sunshine, it’s really pretty similar to this shot from the same spot a couple of week’s ago!
