253-365v4 – Japanese Anemone

I believe this is a Japanese Anemone (or a variant on that). I’ve been watching these growing in a couple of gardens I walk past on my morning walk and had it in my mind to photograph these when next I had my macro lens with me which I did today. Ideally you want these with a soft pastel coloured background…which I certainly didn’t have with the stalks of other plants and a large black drainpipe to contend with.

After some mucking about in photoshop I was pretty pleased with the result.
