On this morning’s walk I was on the look out for Poppies. We don’t have a poppyfield anywhere near Dunmow (as far as I know), but we do have poppies growing on the roadside and it is those I was looking for.
I found some and photographed them but then came across a really pretty flower in amongst the hedgerow which is the subject of today’s post…but I have no idea what it is!
There’s been a lot of rain last night and the flower still had quite a bit of water still on it which added to the interest somewhat.
Below you can see the poppy images along with a dog rose (first of thos have started appearing – everything is quite late this year – a dry April and a cold and wet May probably didn’t help.
