088-365v4 Face of a Triskelion

Why do I leave it so late? Why don’t I learn?

This was a real rushed shot (I had taken some product shots for my wife earlier in the day but I’n trying to avoid using those in this 365 project) done just before bed time. Looking at the shots, I can see another shot in the Black and White Unite project…but it’s not this shot – at least I have a potential shot in the bag for next time I leave it so late!

What is a Triskelion?

Derived from the Greek word “Triskeles” meaning “three legs”, the Triskele or Triple Spiral is a complex ancient Celtic symbol. Often referred to by many as a Triskelion, its earliest creation dates back to the Neolithic era, as it can be seen at the entrance of Newgrange, Ireland.”
