Out and about in the Rodings today and caught this sunset looking out from Berners Roding. If you’d like to see the view lookin the other way then visit my 365 Project pages.

I finally got out and about today and drove across to Berners Roding and had a look at the semi-derelict church there that I have photographed before. I took a walk across the fields to shoot the sunset which was OK, but nothing spectacular, I turned round to head back

We’ve been to West Wood before but not for a few months so it was nice to get out there on Monday before the weather closed in. We had lovely bright weather and the moon followed us around all day. So here’s a black and white shot of the moon

This was far harder to photograph than it should have been what with clearing away all the knitting on top of the stereo unit to find the old record player under an inch of dust. Was surprised when the record player worked straight away…but then couldn’t find any vinyl! Half

Back to work today in a gale with driving rain – just what you want as you are setting out on a 366 project. I did get a picture of the rain as it drummed against the office window, but it was such a depressing shot I decided not to

For those of you not familiar with the whole concept of a 365 project, the idea is that, come rain or shine, I will take and publish at least 1 new photograph per day for a year. You will notice that this is post 001 of 366 – 366, because

We’ll stick with Ely Cathedral after yesterday’s post. If you ever visit Ely Cathedral you will find that you can take a guided tour of one of the 2 towers – your choice – either the West Tower or the Octagon tower. I decided to grab hold of my vertigo

I visited a couple of Cathedrals today – Peterborough and Ely. Both are very impressive buildings and are well worth a visit. Ely Cathedral had this very impressive Christmas tree with a nativity in front of it. I think this sums up Christmas quite nicely – don’t you?

Right – that’s Christmas out of the way 😉 so let’s move on towards the New Year. We have a new project and web site to go with it that will be starting on New Years Day – look out for more details in the next few days. Today’s photograph

From the same bunch of flowers as yesterday’s chrysanthemum comes this rose. A fairly clear difference, and yet, to me anyway, a more interesting picture. It reminds me of dried tobacco leaves.
