Today was Dunmow Carnival day that finished, as usual, with a firework display. Because I don’t have enough pictures of Doctors Pond 😉 I took up residence with the ducks and bats and enjoyed the show from a distance.

I was taking a stroll through Kensington Gardens in London when I saw this on the path. Apparently there are 90 of these plaques embedded in the ground leading you around a 7 mile walk through some of the main parks in London.

This is my Sony Walkman WM-51 that I bought in 1987. I can quite clearly remember buying it in the Electronics section of Lewis’ on the Headrow in Leeds (long gone now). It was the first Sony Walkman I ever owned, I’d had numerous cheap Aiwa and the like lookalikes
aka Crane Fly. It is the season and our cats enjoy chasing them round. They hadn’t noticed this one yet so I took advantage. Unusually for me I used off camera flash for this shot.
